Mount Washington & the Presidential Range, White Mountains, NH $875Purchase required to enroll

Join us for a three and a half day adventure in the White Mountains. We'll pick you up at the Poughkeepsie Train Station on Thursday afternoon and drive up to NH, staying at a hotel that evening, then head up on the mountain for three days and two nights, driving back Sunday evening. On the mountain we'll cover winter mountaineering skills and do a winter ascent of Mount Washington.

*Rates are based on a two person minimum. A private rate is available upon request.

Mount Washington and the Presidential Range offer numerous options for alpine climbing and mountaineering: winter summit climbs, the Presidential Traverse, technical ice routes in Tuckerman's or Huntington's ravines, technical rock climbing in Huntington Ravine, and more.

The only way to access the 500' cliff is to paddle out 30 minutes on the lake.

Island Rock Gym Gunks Climbing Day

Experience climbing outside with other Island Rockers! You will learn to climb and move on real rock and see how everything in climbing works in the great outdoors.

This is an outdoor event for climbers of all ability levels - beginner thru advanced, from ages from 9 years old and up!
We will provide all the technical equipment and day passes needed. Climbing will be on single pitch routes - ranging from 50' - 100' with a climber to guide ratio of 4:1.

Adirondack Ice Weekend $525Purchase required to enroll

Let Alpine Endeavors show you some of the great ice climbing in the Adirondacks.

For this weekend adventure, we'll pick you up at the train station in Poughkeepsie, NY*, and drive up together to the Adirondacks. There we'll stay in a cabin and spend the next two days climbing at one of the many great locations - Chapel Pond, Cascade Pass, Wilmington Notch, Poke-O-Moonshine, etc. Sunday after the climbing, we'll pack up and get you back to the train station around 5:30pm for the 5:54pm train to NYC.

Lodging Friday and Saturday night, and all technical climbing equipment needed is provided.
You'll need to bring water, snacks, lunch, clothing suitable for the weather, and a three-season sleeping bag. Meals are not provided, with the abundance of great dining options we can discuss your preferences and explore.

*This program has a required minimum number of 2 participants to run.

* If you choose to drive, we can meet you at a different location, whether it's more north, or at the climbing site. Please contact us in advance so we can prepare.
* If you miss the train, we will not be able to wait for you. You would need to arrange for other transportation to get to the climbing or lodging area.

Top Roping Anchors, Part 1 - For climbers who are interested in getting out on your own top-roping, we are offering two, one-day clinics covering the skills you need to build natural and/or bolted top ropes.

This is part 1 in a 2 part series. You can choose to take part 2 the next day, or at another date of you choice with us.

Part 1 will cover: anchor selection with trees, boulders, and/or bolts, anchor building, tether lines, and basic belaying skill review

Part 2 will include: review and more practice of anchor building, rappelling off the anchor, ground management, belay skills.

Introduction to Lead Climbing - For experienced climbers looking to get out on the sharp end and start leading, we're offering the first day in our lead climbing program. We'll cover: gear placement, extension, and anchor building; methods of belaying and lowering off the anchor; mock leads and rappelling safety tips.

This is for climbers who have prior experience and are familiar with traditional gear removal, can tie the basic knots (figure eight and a clove hitch), and rappelling.

Limited to 8 participants on a 4:1 climber-to-guide ratio. Participants in the lead clinic will need to provide their basic equipment (helmet, harness ,shoes) and their own basic rack - a selection of nuts, cams, carabiners, slings, and cordellette,
